Wally Randall Beaudesert Lodge No:1350
At the meeting of Beaudesert Lodge No:1350 the Grand Secretary, R.W.Bro Ryan Williams and the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro David Tremaine were in attendance to celebrate the 103rd birthday of W.Bro Wally Randall PAGDC, Tyler for the Lodge.
The Grand Secretary in his address to Wally mentioned that he was probably the oldest Mark Master Mason still active in the whole Constitution. He also said the the M.W.Grand Master had taken a special interest and had issued a special Certificate congratulating Wally on his amazing age and commitment to the Order.
The Grand Secretary presented Wally with his Certificate and then announced that the M.W.Grand Master had authorised a promotion in Grand Rank to Past Grand Junior Overseer making Wally a Very Worshipful Brother. This was greeted with prolonged applause. Wally thanked the Grand Secretary and the Brethren and then resumed his duties as Lodge Tyler.
Nightingale Lodge held a Burns Dinner at the Bell Hotel in Winslow on Burns night, it was attended by 69 guests who all thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The evening started by the guest being piped in and then the guests sat down to a five course meal including haggis which was addressed in true Scottish Tradition by W. Bro Bob Chevin. During and after the meal the guests were treated to various “Toasts, Sangs and Clatter” along with several songs from children of a local school. The evening raised £700 for charity being distributed 50% to the BMBF and 25% to both the CRY Charity and Emily’s Star Children’s Charity
